Upcoming 2017-2018 Cooperation projects

Every year, the Cooperation award provides support to new projects designed by Forum participants. The winning projects will be carried out from March to September and a report will be presented at the next edition of the Forum in October 2018.

In 2018, several projects will be set up thanks to the cooperation of European teams that were created during the Forum that took place in Nantes on October 2017.

5 projects received a grant from Nantes Métropole, and are now being developped :

NANA !

Project :

NANA ! is a creative social project. Six artists will plan a road trip with Expressions Nomades art-mobile-studio caravan from Nantes to Naples. They will facilitate community art workshops while on their travels and also document the trip through their own creative practice. This is a project about travelling, documentation and collaboration.

During the trip, they will animate art workshops during various festivals and will develop their own artistic production. The project will outreach with an artistic residency in Naples, followed by an exhibition and a publication aimed at enhancing the project as a whole.

Foodsharing

Project :

FoodSharing is a culinary event that proposes to connect people, to promote skills and cuisine of own home country, to change perspectives and prejudices about vulnerable people around us - refugees, homeless, elderly people.

It consists of both local events organized by each partner in their city, but also a festival organized jointly in one of the 5 participating cities.

Dance 360 heritage Edition

Project :

Heritage edition is a project that aims to film 360 ° dance shows in different heritage sites across Europe during the summer of 2018 (Ex: Saranda / Albania, Nantes Castle, Pompéi / Italy, etc.)

The goal is to offer an immersive experience in iconic places with innovative dances to tell a human story. A presentation will be proposed in each of the participating cities.

So you don’t think you can dance

Project :

" We believe this non-verbal but transnational communication to move with our bodies, to dance with our own rythmes while in a group in harmony. So, we would like to share this experience in wider geographies among France, Turkey and Armenia as HipHop’s fun, free and uniting philosophie and character ".

For 15 days in the summer of 2018, the people from the Abstrus Association will offer free dance workshops open to all audiences in Armenia. During the next 15 days, Nantes youngsters and Armenians will propose the same concept in Istanbul to a local association. A media team will follow the entire project.

Cross Performance with Refugees / Kune

Project :

The "Cross Performance with Refugees / Kune" project aims to bring together 30 young people from 9 European countries and young migrants (Mainly from Syria) for 9 days in May 2018, in Izmir, Turkey, to discuss refugee welcoming issues and to foster cultural exchange through the creation of a common artistic production. At the end of the meeting, a show will be presented to the public and a photo / video report will highlight the project.
