60 European project holders to come to Nantes on 25-28 October

The 9th edition of the NCG Forum will be held on 25-28 October in Nantes.

30 innovative projects designed to sthrenghten the notion of "living together", of citizenship, will be presented.

During 4 days, the 60 participants will take part in plenary sessions, workshops on creativity - setting up of European projects, cultural evenings and visits of Nantes.

Program :

> Plenary sessions, to present projects to other participants, take part in discussions and public radio shows
> Workshops, to discuss specific themes in small groups and gain skills in setting up projects, in particular cross-border projects (methods, funding, communications tools, etc.).
> Informal and cultural time, city visits, in order to strengthen relations 

They will also meet the winners of the 2016-2017 Cooperation Award and young participants involved in NCG on Tour 2017.

Nantes citizens invited to discover the event and open to Europe

On Thursday 26 October, a special event will be dedicated to give the opportunity to Nantes citizens to meet with the European project holders in a friendly atmosphere. The Forum is a great occasion to open to new initiatives and ideas.

On Friday 27 October in the morning, two workshops will allow young people from Nantes, youth workers, civil servants,.., to get information about international mobility (Jobs, internships, scolarships, volunteering, etc.)

Projects to be presented in Nantes

Following a call for application launched on spring 2017, more than 150 projects were presented to the panel who had the dificult task to select 10 initiatives from Nantes and 20 from all over Europe, according to the following criterias :

> Projects must contribute to strengthen the notion of "living together", involve a "citizenship" approach in tits general sense and develop an original/ innovative approach.
> They can be linked to a large range of thematics : environment, health, education, culture, sport, intercultural dialogue, fight again discriminations, media, etc.
> Projects must be concrete initiatives (Or at least in an advanced stage of reflection if not yet realized)
> A special attention is given to age, gender and geographical mixity beyond participants

Practical information

The 2017 Forum takes place on October 25-28 in Nantes-France. The Forum starts on Wednesday 25 October evening and ends on Saturday 28 October during in the afternoon.

English is the official language of the Forum.

For European participants : Transport, accommodation and food costs are covered by Nantes Métropole for 2 participants maximum per project from 25/10 to 29/10.

Selected participants are asked to book their transport tickets themselves. The organization will then refund travel expenses up to 400 Euros per person, according to the original receipts and tickets sent by the participants. Refunds are provided approximatively 2 months after the Forum.

Accomodation is booked by Nantes Métropole.
